Host plant : Polyphagous.
Found in warm deciduous woodlands, forest edges, hedgerows, old orchards and sunny areas with dead wood.
Adults are often found on flowers.
Recorded host plants : Aesculus sp., Betula sp., Castanea sativa, Corylus sp., Euonymus europaeus, Fagus sp. and Quercus sp.
