Host plant : Pinaceae.
The beetles are mainly found on Pinus sp. Also found on Abies alba, Larix decidua and Picea abies.
The larvae are wood-boring larvae. They bore deep into the trunk of recently dead trees, creating broad galleries in the sapwood and heartwood.
