Male and female.
Body length : Female : 8,5-12mm. Male : 8-9mm.
This species is difficult to distinguish from Alopecosa farinosa.
The male species of A. barbipes has black, densely hairy front legs, especially tibia and metatarsus of leg 1.
A. farinosa has uniformly brown or lightly banded legs.
The female species needs further examination of the genitalia.
