Body length : 8-12mm.
Host plant : Asteraceae.
Found in open, warm habitats with abundant herbaceous vegetation.
The larvae develop in the stems and roots of herbaceous plants, especially Achillea millefolium, Leucanthemum sp. and Tanacetum vulgare.
But also on Artemisia sp., Glebionis segetum and Solidago virgaurea.
