Body length : 6-8mm.
Host plant : Pinaceae.
Mainly associated with conifer forests, especially in mountainous and cooler regions.
The adults feed on nectar and pollen from flowers of the Apiaceae family, Rubus sp. and Filipendula ulmaria.
The larvae develop in dead or dying conifer wood, such as Abies alba, Cedrus sp., Picea sp. and Pinus sp.
